Convergence on 2012: The End Soon to Come

Apparently, there is not much left unsaid when it comes to predictions. Almost everyone has heard about predictions pertaining to different times in their life, some of which came true while others were merely forgotten. Some predictions are simple while others are complicated and specific. The intensity of the prediction depends on how specific it is. This is probably the reason why the 2012 prediction is very much given attention.

The many disasters that have built up gave rise to a   prediction with sufficient backup to be made believable. There are two depictions of the world’s end in 2012. First is the religious reference to the second coming of the judgment day, wherein everyone living or dead is judged. This is the more religious definition that rooted from the never-ending bastion of calamities reminiscent of when God has given signs of destruction to the people. The signs have been taken in by some, ignored by some. The same goes for the 2012 prediction. The gist of the biblical prophecy is that the end will come when people have lost faith and have been so brutal to one another and to their surroundings that they need to be punished.

Another reference to the 2012 prediction is the Mayan calendar, which says that the next time of destruction that comes every 144, 000 years will be on December 21, 2012. People are also amazed by how the play on the numbers can be given another meaning. The Mayans believe that this end has something to do with the interference of Planet X, a planet that will reach the orbit or our system and gravitate towards us, causing changes in the orbit of Venus and Mars. These changes and the distance of the earth to the sun are hazardous if not impended.

There are different views of the 2012 prediction, some far fetched some backed up by tangible proof, while others mere wishful thinking. It is not everyday that we can talk about the end that will come, and with many civilizations and beliefs converging on this date, there may be proof more than what we would like to believe. All we can do is to wait and see what will happen.
