2012 Survival
Riding a New Noah’s Ark
According to the Christian Bible, in the past there was a time of a Great Flood and Noah was able to save his family and a pair of every animal species in the world. Now is a time of a new warning, creating buzzes on the internet and the news. From an ancient civilization and astrological predictions, there is a warning that several catastrophes will ravage the earth on 2012, and ultimately at the end of that year, the world will end too.

The plan of action for 2012 survival relies on what will specifically happen on that year or anything will really happen at all.
The Mayan Civilization of Central America, one that has already fallen for more than a millennium ago, has made a calendar which has a beginning and an end. The ends of the calendar, according to their accounts, correspond to the destruction of the world and the creation of a one. That may sound farfetched but the Mayan civilization is known for their accurate predictions of the future: wars, volcanic explosions, hurricanes and even the coming of the Europeans to conquer them in the 1500s—they have predicted them.
What are the predicted events that will require a 2012 survival plan?
One is the supposed collision of the planet earth with a planetoid that is named “Nibiru” or “Planet X.” Some predictions talked about gigantic hurricanes, earthquakes and tsunamis. Another is the expected galactic alignment between the sun, planets, the earth and the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. As of now, there is no proof of the effects this alignment may bring but speculation has it that it will alter the earth’s magnetic field. This will render us vulnerable to dangerous radiation from space.
Several proposed methods of 2012 survival include staying in bomb shelters to avoid the predicted wars and falling heavenly bodies. But this is a method which is effective only up to a certain extent. None on earth can stand a very huge planetoids collision. Staying on the mountains too will help avoid tsunamis but not huge earth quakes and crustal displacement.
The key point is none of these predictions are scientifically proven and believing them depends on the individual. Perhaps, there is no Noah’s Ark for 2012 but the only way to start making one is to take care of the environment and this planet—which is applicable for both believers and non-believers of the 2012 Doomsday prophecies.
