The prediction that the world will end on a day on December 2012, is rooted from the accounts of the Mayans, a Mesoamerican civilization that rose in the pre-European conquest period. The end of that calendar corresponds to December 21, 2012 which is interpreted as the end of the world. Some are already migrating to the mountains to avoid the huge tsunamis. But the predictions are still merely predictions of a future that is yet to come. The best way of surviving 2012 is to do something to prevent the planet’s destruction, and that is to take care of the environment.
